GPR Cable Locating and Electromagnetic Locating
To complete our underground cable and pipe location services, we utilise a combination of both Electromagnetic Technology and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).The electromagnetic wand is used to induce a frequency over a metalic object ie. Electrical and Copper lines this is then received on our hand held receivers which then is interprited for the location and depth of the service. Our Metrotech V-Loc Pro locating wands also double up as a Marker locator. This allows us to identify burried marker balls and tracer tape for Optic Fibre cables. The GPR is then used to identify any other services that are non conductive ie, PVC, AC and concrete pipes. Our GeoRadar GPR projects transmitted waves into the ground which creates a reflected wave of a buried asset below the surface. The display screen records the data which is then interprited by our locators. If current plans of subsurface assets are either non-existent or inaccurate, we can also supply ou with ‘Dial Before You Dig’ plans.
